Sidi Henderson was born in Cincinnati, Ohio September 12th 1964. In film, he’s most known for his “professional everyman" roles.  His latest characters appear in the comedy, Snack Shack (2024) and Block Party (2022) He's also had roles in the 2020 Sundance Film Festival feature, Dinner in America, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, and Whitney Houston's final film, Sparkle.   

 

He lived in Detroit for several years before moving to Washington D.C.  Sidi moved back to Michigan in the early 80’s, where he studied Broadcasting and Theatre at Central Michigan University. There, he booked concerts, chaired the university’s entertainment organization, began his voice acting career cutting spots for local businesses, radio stations and trained in the Theatre Department. He also co-founded and played bass guitar in a rock band where he developed a thorough understanding of the music business.

 

After graduation, he worked on air and as a producer in Detroit radio while acting in industrial films and voicing national radio and TV commercials which he continues to do.  He made his film debut co-starring with Judd Nelson in the psychological thriller, Nevermore (2007).  When he’s not acting, Sidi assists best-selling author Mitch Albom as Creative Audio Producer for the Mitch Albom Show on WJR radio in Detroit. In addition, he occasionally sits in as lead singer of Detroit’s premiere horn band, Mainstreet SoulHe also plays bass guitar with other groups including Mr. Seley and the Troublemakers; a band that specializes in original rock music for kids.  Sidi lives in Detroit with his wife and looks forward to continuing the long line of success stories from the Motor City.
